QUIZ: What’s the Best Rug Style For Your Space?

Quiz: What's the Best Rug Style for Your Space? The Blog by Jasmine Roth

Picking a rug might seem pretty straight forward, until you realize HOW MANY RUG STYLES THERE ARE.  I’m not joking, it’s seriously overwhelming.  But finding the best rug style for your space doesn’t have to be so difficult.  I’ve had to pick so many different kinds of rugs over the years for so many projects (I can’t keep count anymore), including my own homes, so I think I have a pretty good handle on this.  If you’re having a tough time picking the best rug style for your space, EXHALE!  I made a quiz to help point you in the right direction!

If you see the spinning circle, don’t click away! That means the quiz is calculating your results, and you won’t wanna miss the answer so you can tell your friends what rug style you got!

I live in southern Colorado and never know what area to use in your quizzes. I am on the hunt for a runner 3’x6 or 7’ for my family room door to the garage. We are putting in LVP flooring soon and can’t use anything with rubber or latex backing. I can’t find anything and I always look at you suggestions. My whole house is neutrals with light use of blue/greens. I had my doors painted Drizzle by SM. All my baseboards and trims are Alabaster. I am planning on having my great room painted all Alabaster. I love it! Still hunting for that green blue or light teal boho or traditional runner. Two feet wide is too narrow for the space. Help!

Is there a way to successfully put an area rug over carpet and not have it wave?
I bought a condo that had brand new white carpet (that I hate but it’s new so why spend $ to replace). I put a large patterned area rug in the living area for color and some design. It kept waving and caused tripping. Is it a lost cause?
